Marsh bucks the trend with investment in people, facilities, processes and product development

    Marsh Bridgwater factory

Marsh Industries, which has design and manufacturing operations in Little Addington, Northamptonshire, and Bridgwater, Somerset, is recognised as being a key supplier to the water, wastewater and surface water treatment industries across Europe.

The company has earned an enviable reputation for providing world-class water/wastewater storage and treatment products including sewage treatment plants, pump stations, grease traps, silage effluent tanks, oil separators and many associated products to the domestic, commercial and agricultural sectors. Marsh has installations on major projects spanning the UK and Europe.

At a time when many UK manufacturing companies have been forced to scale back their staffing levels and operations or, in worst case scenarios, close doors altogether, Marsh Industries has bucked the trend by investing in a 20,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution plant at its Bridgwater site with an upgrade to all manufacturing equipment and processes.

Since January, the Bridgwater site has seen the installation of six large mandrel machines accompanied by new spray roving facilities. The new mandrels provide the improved capability for manufacturing sewage treatment plants up to 1000PE and agricultural storage tanks with capacities up to 130,000 litres.

In addition, eighty new product moulds have been manufactured that will enable the continuous production of smaller domestic sewage treatment plants and septic tank ranges at Bridgwater.

Distribution of sewage treatment plants, septic tanks and cesspools for the South west counties will be undertaken from the new Bridgwater site from 6th May. A collection facility is also available from this date, with only 24 hours notice required.

The momentum behind this growth initiative is to meet customer demand for Marsh products and to ensure that the company can deliver on its promise of quality products delivered on time, every time, with outstanding customer service levels.

    Personnel development

Due to progressive company development, Marsh Industries has strengthened its team with the appointment of Ammie Neale into the role of Regional Manager for the South west and Mike Harrison as Business Development Manager.

Mike comes to Marsh with a high level of technical knowledge and considerable experience in distribution chain establishment and management, and will bring a fresh perspective to the company’s business growth.

Ammie has relocated to the South west as Regional Manager and brings four years of sales and product technical knowledge to the post.

Both Mike and Ammie will be heavily involved in raising the company’s customer support performance levels.
