Marsh teams up with the Grease Contractors’ Association (GCA)

Leading UK tank manufacturer, Marsh Industries, has become a supporting member of the Grease Contractors’ Association (GCA).

The GCA is a non-profit organisation which provides a service to contractors, suppliers, research & developers, educators, manufacturers, consultants and business-users of grease management products, helping to develop best practice in the specification, installation, and maintenance of grease management systems.

Managing Director, Steve Boyer, announced “After a rigorous qualification process, we are delighted to be one of the first manufacturers of grease management tanks to join the GCA.”

Marsh Industries manufactures a range of domestic and commercial grease management systems ranging in capacities from 2800 to 20,000 litres.

Recently, the company reassessed the currently prescribed testing methods for grease traps and devised its own unique test rig and analysis at Loughborough University.

The test rig addressed calls from the industry for clarity in testing procedures of grease trap technology. After completing trials, the Marsh GMS range of grease traps are proven to be the only products of its type to have been successfully tested using materials that match the FOG used in the food industry – as opposed to traditional test methods of using heating oils.

Since the tests Marsh has supplied bespoke grease separators designed to handle up to 20,000 meals per day at Heathrow Airport.
