The Marsh range of vertical pump chambers incorporates systems for pumping surface water or domestic sewage to mains, septic/sewage treatment plant effluent to drainage fields/watercourses, and bespoke systems for larger domestic and industrial applications.

When discharge to mains is required, but to do so by gravity is impractical, a pump chamber system will be needed. Although available as floor-mounted units for indoor applications such as basements, the vast majority are installed outdoors at levels to suit on-site conditions and topography.

For other building types the capacity of the receiving chamber should be based on the calculated daily demand of the water intake for the building, or when only a proportion of the foul sewage is to be pumped then the capacity should be based pro-rata

If the sewer is to be ‘adopted’ by a local water authority, please contact Marsh Industries as Sewers for Adoption (SFA) specification and additional local authority related criteria may apply

Marsh SUMP2DRAIN pump stations provide a convenient solution when gravity drainage is not feasible on-site. In these situations, waste from the property flows into an underground storage chamber, which is then pumped to the main sewer. These packaged pump stations are versatile, handling both foul water (sewage) and surface water applications.

Each pump station arrives on-site as a complete package, including all internal pipe work and a drainage pump. For added safety, we recommend installing a high-level alarm (available as an optional extra). All systems adhere to BSEN752-6 standards.

The Marsh ‘S’ (Surface water) models are capable of handling effluent, surface and ground water. The Marsh190S model can also manage grey water from showers and wash-hand basins, but it is not suitable for foul water from a W.C.

The Marsh ‘F’ (Foul water) models handle sewage from extensions, garden rooms, small conversions and for pumping sewage to septic tanks, sewage treatment plants or to the mains sewer.

Grinder models are also available as part of the SUMP2DRAIN range.

BASEMENT PUMP SOLUTIONS

Introducing BASE2DRAIN; the safest, most reliable and efficient range of basement pumps from Marsh Industries.

Suitable for virtually all subterranean sites, Marsh BASE2DRAIN systems are designed in accordance with British Standard European Norms: BSEN12050, BSEN752, BSEN752-6 and also carry third party approval for material fire safety and structural integrity.

A Marsh BASE2DRAIN basement pump is necessary when discharge from a subterranean site, such as an underground car park or a home basement, is required but gravity discharge is impractical.

Available in a wide range of sizes and capacities, all BASE2DRAIN systems are supplied as a complete unit with either twin or triple submersible pumps and high quality internal pipework/fittings as standard.

Marsh Civils’ technical team can work closely with you to identify all key requirements in specifying the right system for your project.

The Marsh range of Marmicro pump chambers incorporates systems for pumping surface water or domestic sewage to mains, septic/sewage treatment plant effluent to drainage fields/watercourses, and bespoke systems for larger domestic and industrial applications.

When discharge to mains is required, but to do so by gravity is impractical, a pump chamber system will be needed. Although available as floor-mounted units for indoor applications such as basements, the vast majority are installed outdoors at levels to suit on-site conditions and topography.

Where foul water drainage from a domestic property is to be pumped to the mains the effluent receiving chamber should be sized to contain 24-hour inflow to allow for disruption in service, the minimum daily discharge being taken as 150 litres per person per day.
